Terms and conditions

Effective date: June 8, 2026
Business: The Tidy Maid
Questions about these policies can be sent to:

1. Who provides the services

These Terms are between you and The Tidy Maid for the cleaning services, booking requests, customer communications, customer accounts, and related service interactions offered through this website.

The Tidy Maid provides the cleaning services. Primrose, operated by Pixel Genesis LLC, provides hosted software used by The Tidy Maid to operate this website, booking flows, payments, scheduling, communications, customer accounts, and related workflows. Primrose is not responsible for the cleaning services, employment decisions, service promises, pricing choices, local business licenses, insurance, taxes, or customer commitments of The Tidy Maid, except where Primrose separately agrees in writing or directly operates a service.

The Tidy Maid is responsible for the website content, service descriptions, prices, policies, photos, offers, messages, staff instructions, and other business materials it publishes or configures through the dashboard. Primrose and Pixel Genesis LLC do not review, guarantee, or accept responsibility for business-provided website content or business operations.

2. Acceptance, eligibility, and authority

By accessing this website, creating an account, requesting a booking, checking a Terms and Privacy Policy consent box, approving a quote, paying an invoice, receiving a cleaning, submitting a review, or otherwise interacting with the services, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

When a booking flow requires a Terms and Privacy Policy checkbox, checking that box and selecting Request booking records your acceptance of the posted versions of those terms and policy at that time.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to request services or create an account. You may not use this website or request services if doing so would violate applicable law.

If you act on behalf of another person, household, business, property owner, tenant, or organization, you represent that you have authority to provide information, approve service, grant access, and accept these Terms for that party.

3. Booking requests and service scope

A booking request is not guaranteed until it is accepted or confirmed by the business and any required payment method, deposit, authorization, or prepayment has been completed.

Prices, estimates, arrival windows, durations, services, add-ons, and availability are based on the information provided during booking. They may change if the property condition, home size, number of rooms, pets, location, access, requested work, safety conditions, supplies, or other relevant facts differ from the booking details.

The Tidy Maid may accept, reject, reschedule, pause, or cancel a request because of service-area limitations, staffing availability, inaccurate information, payment issues, unsafe conditions, weather, emergency, customer conduct, or circumstances outside reasonable control.

4. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate booking details, safe and timely property access, working utilities, reasonable parking or entry instructions, and any information needed to perform the requested cleaning.

Before service, you should secure valuables, fragile items, confidential documents, firearms, medications, cash, jewelry, hazardous materials, pets, and any items that should not be touched, cleaned, moved, discarded, photographed, or accessed.

You must disclose unsafe, unsanitary, pest-related, biohazardous, hoarding-related, construction-related, infectious, aggressive animal, or otherwise unusual conditions before service. Staff may refuse or stop work if a property, person, animal, task, or condition creates unreasonable risk.

5. Access, arrival windows, and lockouts

Arrival times may be shown as windows rather than exact appointment times. Traffic, prior jobs, weather, parking, building access, staffing, and service conditions may affect arrival.

If staff cannot access the property, cannot safely enter, cannot reach you for required instructions, or are delayed by inaccurate access information, the business may treat the appointment as a lockout, denied access, late cancellation, or rescheduling request.

Lockouts, denied access, no-shows, or material service changes after arrival may result in fees, loss of deposit, rescheduling requirements, or cancellation of the appointment where those consequences are disclosed during booking, in confirmations, in invoices, in account screens, or in other written service terms from the business.

6. Payments, deposits, fees, and taxes

You authorize the business and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method for bookings, deposits, preauthorizations, recurring services, completed cleanings, add-ons, adjustments, cancellation fees, lockout fees, late fees, taxes, invoices, and other amounts you approve or owe under these Terms.

If you provide a card or other payment method for future use, you authorize the business and its payment processors to save that payment method and charge it after completed services, for future recurring appointments, and for disclosed fees or adjustments owed under these Terms.

If payment fails, the business may retry the charge, request another payment method, delay service, cancel a booking, suspend account access, or pursue collection of unpaid amounts. You are responsible for taxes, chargebacks, bank fees, and payment-processing costs associated with your transactions unless prohibited by law.

Payment processing is provided by third-party processors. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Cancellations and rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling rules may be shown during booking, in confirmation messages, in customer account screens, in invoices, or in separate written terms from the business.

Unless a different policy is stated for a specific service, late cancellation, skipped recurring service, denied access, lockout, no-show, or a request to materially change the service after arrival may result in fees up to the full price of the scheduled cleaning when that potential fee is disclosed before or at the time you submit, confirm, or keep the appointment.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests are effective only when received and confirmed through the business's approved contact, account, or scheduling process. Telling an individual staff may not cancel or change an appointment unless the business confirms the change.

If the business needs to cancel or reschedule because of staff illness, safety concerns, severe weather, emergency, unavailable supplies, payment issues, or another operational issue, it will make reasonable efforts to notify you and find another time.

8. Recurring services

Recurring services may be priced differently from one-time services based on frequency, scope, estimated time, and expected maintenance condition. If recurring service is canceled after only one cleaning or after a long gap, the business may apply one-time, deep-clean, catch-up, or changed-scope pricing where disclosed before the charge is made.

When you request recurring service, you authorize future appointments on the selected cadence until you cancel, the business cancels, or the business confirms a schedule change. The business and its payment processors may charge the saved payment method after each completed recurring cleaning and for disclosed fees or adjustments owed under these Terms.

You are responsible for canceling or changing recurring service through the business's approved contact, account, or scheduling process before any disclosed cutoff. The business should provide notice of material price or scope changes for future recurring appointments where required by applicable law or payment-network rules.

9. Feedback and service concerns

Cleaning is a practical service affected by property condition, time, scope, access, supplies, and customer expectations. If you believe an area was missed or not cleaned as agreed, contact the business promptly and include enough detail to review the concern.

The business may offer a re-clean, credit, refund, or other resolution at its discretion or as required by applicable law. Unless a specific satisfaction policy says otherwise, requests should be made within 24 hours after service so the business can inspect or correct the issue while facts are current.

10. Reviews and customer content

You may submit reviews, ratings, photos, messages, notes, service concerns, and other content through this website or related communication channels. You are responsible for content you submit and represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

You grant The Tidy Maid, Primrose, and Pixel Genesis LLC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, and use content you submit for service operations, customer support, account records, quality review, security, legal compliance, and business marketing, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent truthful reviews or lawful statements about your service experience. The business may remove, hide, decline to publish, or respond to content that appears false, unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, obscene, privacy-invasive, infringing, fraudulent, spam, unrelated to the service, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms.

11. Breakage, damage, and loss

You should report alleged breakage, damage, or loss promptly after service, with photos and supporting details when available. Delayed reporting may make investigation or resolution difficult.

The business may investigate claims, request documentation, inspect the property, repair or replace items, reimburse reasonable costs, apply account credit, refer the matter to insurance, or deny claims that are unsupported, pre-existing, outside the agreed service scope, or not caused by the cleaning service.

The business is not responsible for ordinary wear, unstable fixtures, improperly mounted items, pre-existing damage, items not reasonably secured, or damage from products or instructions specifically requested by the customer unless required by law.

12. Supplies, products, and special instructions

The business may use its own cleaning supplies and equipment or may agree to use customer-provided products. If you request specific products, surfaces, methods, or instructions, you are responsible for confirming that they are appropriate for the property and surfaces.

The business may decline to use a product, tool, or method if it appears unsafe, unsuitable, unlabeled, expired, incompatible with the surface, or outside the agreed service scope.

13. Pets, safety, and respectful conduct

Pets should be secured before staff arrive unless the business has agreed otherwise. The business is not responsible for escaped pets, animal behavior, or pet-related delays where pets were not properly secured.

Customers, household members, guests, and property contacts must maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment. Discrimination, harassment, threats, verbal abuse, offensive conduct, unsafe behavior, or interference with staff may result in staff leaving immediately, cancellation without refund, refusal of future service, or other action.

14. Service limitations

Unless the business expressly agrees in writing, cleaning services do not include specialized, hazardous, licensed, construction, restoration, remediation, or heavy-duty tasks.

  • No mold remediation, pest removal, biohazard cleanup, blood or bodily-fluid cleanup, hoarding cleanup, or hazardous-material handling.
  • No cleaning of firearms, weapons, illegal substances, medical waste, or dangerous materials.
  • No heavy lifting, furniture removal, trash haul-away, exterior window washing, high-ladder work, roof work, or licensed trade work.
  • No guarantee that stains, odors, buildup, construction dust, pet damage, hard-water marks, rust, mold, or pre-existing conditions can be fully removed.
  • No work in areas that are unsafe, inaccessible, without reasonable utilities, or outside the agreed living or service area.

15. Communications and SMS

You agree that the business may contact you by email, phone, SMS, in-app message, push notification, mail, or other reasonable channels about bookings, accounts, access, scheduling, payments, invoices, service updates, staff workflows, review requests, support, security, and other operational matters.

Where permitted by law, the business may also send marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing communications, but the business may still send transactional, account, security, billing, and service-related messages. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

16. Website and account use

You may not misuse the website, booking flow, customer account, or related software. Prohibited activity includes attempting unauthorized access, interfering with the service, scraping data without permission, uploading malicious code, impersonating others, submitting false information, violating law, infringing intellectual property, harassing others, or using the service for fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or unlawful purposes.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify the business promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

17. Intellectual property

The business name, service descriptions, photos, marks, and other content published by The Tidy Maid may be owned by The Tidy Maid or its licensors. The Primrose software, workflows, interfaces, designs, code, databases, and platform materials are owned by Pixel Genesis LLC or its licensors.

Except for the limited right to use the website and customer account features for booking and managing services, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

18. Third-party services

The website and service workflows may rely on third-party providers, including payment processors, email providers, SMS providers, maps providers, hosting providers, database providers, analytics tools, identity tools, customer support tools, and security vendors.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. The business and Primrose are not responsible for third-party services they do not control, and integrations may change or become unavailable.

19. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, services are provided as is and as available. Cleaning outcomes depend on property condition, service scope, time, access, supplies, safety, customer instructions, and other practical factors.

The Tidy Maid is solely responsible for its cleaning services, customer commitments, business decisions, website content, and business operations. Primrose and Pixel Genesis LLC are not liable for the acts, omissions, statements, website content, prices, policies, promises, services, staff, employees, contractors, or customers of The Tidy Maid.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Tidy Maid, Primrose, Pixel Genesis LLC, and their respective owners, employees, contractors, vendors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, replacement services, or similar losses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of The Tidy Maid, Primrose, Pixel Genesis LLC, and their respective owners, employees, contractors, vendors, and affiliates for claims arising from or related to a service, booking, account, payment, website visit, communication, or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected service or, if no amount was paid, $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, property damage where such limitation is prohibited, or nonwaivable statutory rights. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liability limits, so some of the limits above may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Tidy Maid, Primrose, Pixel Genesis LLC, and their respective owners, employees, contractors, vendors, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the website or services, your property conditions, your instructions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.

21. Governing law and disputes

Before filing a claim, you and the business agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting the other party and providing a reasonable description of the issue, requested resolution, and supporting information.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise or the business provides a different written policy for a specific service, these Terms are governed by the laws of the state where the service property is located, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in the courts with jurisdiction over the county where the service property is located or where the business is located.

22. General terms and third-party beneficiaries

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect. The business's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination or completion of services will survive, including payment obligations, customer responsibilities, intellectual property, customer content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, dispute terms, and third-party beneficiary protections.

Primrose, Pixel Genesis LLC, payment processors, communications providers, hosting providers, and other vendors used to provide the website or service workflows are intended third-party beneficiaries of the disclaimers, liability limits, indemnities, and other protections that refer to or protect them.

23. Changes to these Terms

The Tidy Maid may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version should be posted with a new effective date. If a change materially affects a scheduled or paid service, the business should make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, customer account, email, SMS, or another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the website, booking flow, account, or cleaning services after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

The Tidy Maid provides the cleaning services described on this site. Primrose is the hosted software provider that helps this business operate its website, bookings, payments, communications, and customer accounts.
